Located at the foot of the Sierra de Tramuntana, declared World Heritage by the Unesco, on the way to the monastery of Lluc, in the small town of Selva where there are centuries-old tradition in the manufacture of footwear. The museum has the ideal location and environment, a prestigious shoe factory built in 1978 with the architectural design typical of the time. In our selection there are pieces of the origins of industrialization in the manufacture of Mallorcan footwear, selected from more than 1000 copies of their own collection and distributed identically to how they would be in a shoe factory at full capacity. We also have a chronological exhibition of footwear that begins with some pieces from 1927 to selected contemporary pieces.
